FAQs

Where are your kitchens and bedrooms made?

All of our kitchens are made in our state-of-the-art factory in the Highlands of Scotland where each and every kitchen has been produced since we started manufacturing in 1986.

Are your kitchens and bedrooms supplied flat packed?

All of our kitchens are supplied fully assembled ready to be fitted into place. Bedroom units are also fully assembled, with the exception of wardrobes which will come flat packed due to the size of them and the problems that would arise trying to get that into your home without damaging anything.

There is so much choice that I’m not sure what sort of kitchen to go for, how do I choose?

Our design team will guide you through the design process making sure you get the design that you want. They will ask you how you see yourself using the room and ensure your design is tailor made to fit in around you and your family’s lifestyle

I would love to have wall-to-wall wardrobes in my bedroom, but I have sloping ceilings. What can you do here?

We can fit angled wardrobes to suit any awkward alcove or sloping ceiling and will produce angled doors to suit the shape, or supply sliding doors angled to suit the shape so you can still have wall-to-wall wardrobes.

My kitchen is very small and an awkward shape, I’m not sure how you would be able to fit a better design in?

Our designers are experts in overcoming awkwardly shaped rooms, and as we offer special sized units in almost every range we have the tools to overcome any design challenge.

What is the guarantee on your kitchen/bedroom units?

Our kitchen units are guaranteed for 25 years and the door and drawer fronts are guaranteed for 5 years from point of installation.

What kind of work surfaces do you offer?

We offer a vast range of worktops, from man-made worktops such as laminate, Corian and Silestone to the natural beauty of granite and timber. We have worktops to suit every style and budget and our designers will be able to show you examples of all of these when you visit your nearest showroom.

What do you do with my old kitchen?

If you opt to have your kitchen installed by us, then the price will include the removal and proper disposal of your current kitchen. Any electrical appliances will be recycled where possible and if they can’t be they will be disposed of in-line with the current regulations.

What appliances can I have with my kitchen?

Neff and Siemens are the main appliance brands that you will find when you visit an Ashley Ann showroom. They offer exceptional quality and have a wide range of appliances to suit all budgets and tastes. We also offer many other appliance brands throughout our showrooms as well, so if you have seen a particular appliance elsewhere that you would like to be included in your kitchen design just ask.

Do you offer supply only kitchens?

Yes, at Ashley Ann we will tailor every kitchen to suit the customer. So if you want the full works you can leave it to us and our expert fitting teams to see your project through from design to installation, or you can have us supply the kitchen to fit yourself. We will still go and perform a site survey even if it is a supply only though, which takes any worry from your shoulders about the kitchen fitting correctly.

Do you offer finance?

Yes, we have two finance offers. A buy now, pay later scheme and a monthly instalment scheme with an incredibly low APR of 5.9%. Please see our finance  page for full details.

What sort of door finishes do you have?

We offer a huge range of door finishes including laminate, acrylic, vinyl, lacquered, timber, veneer and painted in a carefully selected colour palette. Want something a bit different? No problem, we have 3 spray shops in our factory, so if you want your kitchen to match the colour of a sofa you have picked for your new open plan living space, that is not a problem for us at all

How much does an Ashley Ann kitchen or bedroom cost?

This is a difficult question to answer as it depends on the size of the room and what finishes and appliances you end up choosing, but we think you will find that we are very competitively priced. Why not take a look at our client projects to see some projects we have carried out and an idea of what the cost would be.

I’m confused by all the door styles, can you help please?

Yes, in today’s marketplace we see three main door styles that sell. The first is a slab or flat door which is just a completely flat panel. It can come in many different materials and colours. The second is a shaker style door which is made from two side rails, a top and bottom rail and a centre panel. These doors are generally made from timber but can come in different materials. They can be very plain in appearance or can be made to look a lot more traditional by having the centre panel raised in the middle which is called ‘raised and fielded’ and by perhaps having a shaped profile on the inside of the rails where they meet the centre panel. Raised and fielded is the third style. Here is an example of a slab, shaker and raised and fielded kitchen.

How do payments work if I decide to order a kitchen? How much do I pay and when?

This will depend on whether you are going for a supply only kitchen/bedroom or if you have opted for us to carry out the installation as well. If we are installing we generally take a 10% deposit at the point you sign the contract, we will ask for a further 80% the week prior to us starting the install and the final balance to be paid once the kitchen is installed and you are happy with the work. For a supply only we generally take a 10% deposit at point of signing the contract with the balance to be paid prior to us delivering the kitchen to you.
