Our clients were converting a hotel into a luxury holiday let and had very specific requirements for the kitchen and breakfast room. We had to design around an Aga in the main kitchen area, and incorporate the existing alcoves. Larder units with drawers were used to maximise the storage in the main kitchen. A large island was required with seating for 6-8 people, we had to think about the crockery storage with easy access.
In the breakfast area, we had to incorporate seating to tie in the Mr & Mrs Aitken’s teak tables that had been shipped in from abroad and allow radiators to be fitted below the seating area.
We design in glass splashbacks to match the colour of the island tying everything together
